Rocky Mountain High

Chris and I do a lot of driving through the Rockies -- we went yesterday and the day before. It recharges our energy and the scenery cannot be described through thought, words or pictures.

The mountain roads are steep and many back roads have hairpin turns. There's also an abundance of what seems to be 1930 - 1950 cars in all stages of decay in the mountains. The above picture Chris took of some rusted mining equipment discarded along the bend of a 2-lane road. It looked to be a shovel of some sort, albeit small, but hadn't moved in decades.

I wonder when we're going to go to the mountains again. I start a new job tomorrow -- one that demands 9 hours a day of my time (and that doesn't include commuting!). Having been out of work for over 2 months... hey, man, that's a lot to ask.
